Lilian was celebrated for her boldness in choosing commercial driving as a profession, a path rarely taken by women in the state. Her achievement was described as a landmark moment for gender inclusion in the transport sector.

The Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Benue State Branch, today honoured Lilian Tersoo Emmanuel, the first female commercial driver at Victoria Travels, for her courage and determination to break into the male-dominated transport industry.
Speaking at the ceremony, the State Chairman of NURTW commended Lilian for her trailblazing spirit. He urged other women to emulate her example, stressing that her success demonstrates that resilience and hard work can open doors in any field. The honour bestowed on Lilian is not only a personal achievement but also a milestone for women in Nigeria’s transport industry. It sends a powerful message that no profession is beyond reach when determination meets opportunity.
Good job, keep it up
